Resume

The Highlights:

I'm originally from a town called Roanoke in Virginia. And yes you are thinking of Roanoke Island, and no that isn't where I'm from, that's in North Carolina.

Went to community college, then Virginia Tech for Creative Writing. Snagged an English degree and promptly got a job delivering sandwiches for Jimmy John's. Eventually got a job at Virginia Tech and realized very quickly that Blacksburg, Virginia wasn't my end game. Applied to VCU's Brandcenter program on a whim and two years later walked away with a Master's degree.

I moved to San Francisco and got a job at ARGONAUT, inc. where I worked for the next 7 years, honing my advertising chops on brands such as Cricket Wireless, MetLife, Nerdwallet, Honey Bunches of Oats, and Jefferson's Bourbon (not to mention dozens of new business pitches). Drove around the country during the pandemic and lived in Austin, New Orleans, Sedona, Brooklyn, Richmond (Virginia), and landed on the East side of Los Angeles. Now I'm working as a freelancer, writing poetry and music, and trying my hand at photography while focusing on joy and collaboration.
